POWERPOINT SHORTCUTS AND FEATURES FOR IMPROVED DESIGN AND PRODUCTIVITY 😎
Hello everyone, my name is Maurizio La Cava, I am the founder of Lean Presentation design and in this video I want to talk to you about the importance of speed in PowerPoint design and introduce some useful shortcuts and features of the MLC PowerPoint Add-in that will help you become faster and more efficient in creating your presentations.
First, I want to emphasize the importance of understanding the steps and techniques rather than just trying to catch up. To really improve your skills and speed, it's important to take the time to practice and revise the steps we discuss in this session.
Now, let's get into the shortcuts and features that will help you design more efficiently in PowerPoint. One of the most useful techniques is using the shift, control, and alt keys to manipulate shapes and design elements. These keys can be used to create straight lines, resize shapes while maintaining their ratios, move shapes along an axis, duplicate shapes, create grids, and select and replicate blocks.
This can save you a lot of time and effort in the design process, and it's a great technique to learn if you want to improve your efficiency.
In addition to these key shortcuts, I also want to introduce you to the Layers panel, which allows you to organize and manipulate objects in your presentation. We'll also talk about aligning text and changing the colors of shapes, as well as creating grids and rectifying crooked lines. And don't forget about the Quick Access toolbar and the crop tab, which can also be very useful in the design process.
Finally, I want to mention some advanced functions that can really help you take your design skills to the next level. These include stack functions for organizing objects and the Advanced Distribution function for controlling the space between shapes. We'll also talk about a button that allows you to copy and paste the position of an object to another object, and a Save Active Slides button that allows you to save only certain selected slides in a new file.
I hope you find these techniques and features helpful, and I look forward to seeing you on the next video. With practice and a little bit of know-how, you can become a power user of PowerPoint and design presentations more efficiently and effectively.
Ciao!
