Predictive Simulations of Walking
Predictive simulations can be used to test ideas that cannot easily be tested in real life, for example, which of two surgical approaches would produce the better outcome for a given patient. In this video, Simbios postdoctoral fellow Tim Dorn describes his research in simulating a walking motion without using any experimental data - the first step in demonstrating the feasibility of such predictive simulations.
