NOTICE: replicate this experiment can be very dangerous, only by people with knowledge of electricity.
In this experiment, the direct current of 310 volts goes to supercharge a bulb of 220 volts 500 W, triggering it in the contacts an electric arc very flashy. With the same voltage of 310 volts alternating current, the arc does not occur because the half-wave of the alternating current repeatedly breaks up the arc.   / @electricexperimentsrobert33
In order to have a continuous current of 310 volts, it was added to the mains voltage of 220 volts AC, a bridge rectifier and the electrolytic capacitors of power.
The electrical contacts are one of magnesium and the other tungsten to double the length of the arc.
The light bulb for a few minutes resists even 310 volts.
