Suki Kinari Hydropower Project is located on the Kunhar River in Mansehra area of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) province in the northwestern part of Pakistan, which is a long-tunnel diversion-type hydropower. The power station main buildings are comprised of dam, spillway, water intake, headrace tunnel, surge shaft, Penstock, Underground Powerhouse and tailrace tunnel etc. The powerhouse and outlet of tailrace tunnel is located near village Paras, and it is nearly 35km away from the dam site.
