Suki Kinari (SK) Hydropower Project is located on the Kunhar River in Mansehra area of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) province in the northwestern part of Pakistan, which is a long-tunnel diversion-type hydropower. The power station main buildings are comprised of dam, spillway, water intake, headrace tunnel, surge shaft, penstock, Underground Powerhouse and tailrace tunnel etc. The powerhouse and outlet of tailrace tunnel is located near village Paras, and it is nearly 35km away from the dam site.
Just before the ending of year 2020, another important milestone registered at Suki kinari hydropower project. The inauguration ceremony of permanent traffic bridge was held to celebrate this achievement. The smooth opening of the permanent bridge project has laid a solid foundation for the transportation of penstocks, heavy-duty electromechanical equipment and other equipment in the rear area of the project.
The smooth opening of the permanent traffic bridge greatly encouraged all the employees of the project. The ceremony concluded with the Determination that they will do their best to prevent and control the epidemic, continue to work hard for the betterment of the project.
