I always encourage visual thinkers to go for a minimalist approach in their visual work. Personally I always use few colors, simple strokes, and a focus on the message—that's how I avoid getting lost in details.

Aesthetics are always secondary to the message.

In a recent piece, I flipped the narrative: instead of us protecting the earth, the earth is shown as protecting us. This was a deliberate choice, but not one I overthought. By limiting my thinking to 3-4 minutes per concept, I avoid falling into the trap of clichés.

The result? Powerful, straightforward visual metaphors that resonate deeply.

How do you balance simplicity with meaning in your work?
