Our Chalet in the woods full renovation is moving along through rough mechanicals with electric and plumbing roughs completed. Progress on the exterior includes cladding and a new deck.

The renovation of the chalet in the woods moves along ever so slowly. All contractors are swamped and progress is slower than we'd like but we are pressing forward. This footage is from a few site visits and shows work done both inside and outside of the cabin including cladding, decking, structural framing, electric and plumbing roughs.
We show our first time lapse video of construction of the giant wood deck that runs along the entire side of the house. It's 10' x 40' and has a spot for the cedar hot tub to poke through. Bill did a great job building this deck mostly by himself.
Chad gives some thoughts on the current state of construction in 2021 and the pros and cons of hiring a contractor vs. getting your hands dirty with some DIY cabin building.
