Why so many Westerners are moving to Thailand
Why are so many Westerners and Europeans such as Americans, Canadians, British, French, Germans, Scandinavians, Russians, Australians and others moving to Thailand in the past several decades? Well, in addition to the fascinating culture, history and scenery, Thailand provides many benefits for Western expats that they may not have in their home nations such as a cheap cost of living and healthcare. If you're an expat in Thailand or thinking of moving there just be careful to follow all the local laws and customs, respect the local Buddhist and Thai culture as the consequences of not doing so may be far more stark than you are used to.
