Welcome to the first Devlog for my new Android game, Zombie Barrel Blast! In this game inspired by the Donkey Kong Country series from the old SNES, we'll be taking a look at what it looks like to launch zombies from barrels.
This is a fun, cute game that will test your timing and reaction speeds. Aim carefully, and then launch zombies out of barrels to reach the end of the levels. Collect coins along the way, destroy bats and avoid bees. It's even more fun than a barrel of monkeys... it's barrels of ZOMBIES!!!
This is very much in development. As seen in this video, there are a number of glitches and big bugs that need to be fixed. Yet at the same time, it is also playable! Just not for any state of release (as of yet).
CURRENTLY FEATURING:
Zombie barrel blasting fun
Different types of barrels that move and spin in challenging ways
Bats to bounce off of
Bees to get in your way
Pillars to block your path
Coins to collect
Boosters to give the player an advantage (not seen in this video)
A launch meter to choose how much power to launch yourself with
3 Lives per level
FEATURES TO COME:
An infinite gameplay mode with leaderboards
Achievements
An in-game shop with options to buy extra lives and boosters
More cool zombies to unlock
Different visual modes for day, evening and night
