1. Shut down your Dell Inspiron
laptop and unplug the power cord.
2. Turn the laptop over and remove the battery.
3. Remove the screws that secure the memory cover and remove the cover.
4. Remove the existing RAM modules from the slots.
5. Insert the new RAM modules into the slots. Make sure that the notches on the RAM modules line up with the slots.
6. Replace the memory cover and secure it with the screws.
7. Replace the battery and plug in the power cord.
8. Turn on the laptop and check if the RAM upgrade was successful.
