Puyallup Tribe, welcome and blessing
We are honored to have the Puyallup Tribe open the festival with a welcome and blessing, led by cultural director and elder Connie McCloud. Our festival and most of its activities happen on traditional lands of the Puyallup people, who live here and speak the Lushootseed language. We lift our hands to them and honor their elders and their continued protection of the Salish Sea. Livestreamed at Tacoma Ocean Fest 2021 by Crews Creative.
