One of our OceanX speakers for 2021, Hozoji Matheson-Margullis (Puyallup) is a diver, scientist and musician. Working on sustainability research for the Puyallup tribe, she connects her diving experience and love of the ocean to scientific training in her marine biology studies at University of Washington, Tacoma - and her passion for marine protection to the history of Indigenous fishing rights in the Pacific Northwest.
