Wavywebsurf is a youtube channel (and creator) that describes itself as surfing through some of the wildest stories on the web, both past and present. While this description has remained true throughout the nearly seven years of the @wavywebsurf channel’s existence, it can’t be denied that wavywebsurf’s content has gone through some significant changes over time. Wavywebsurf is known for exploring notable internet memes, controversies, and other stories from the internet. His content is sometimes compared to others such as Whang, Turkey Tom, and Internet Historian.
Wavywebsurf is perhaps best known for his “Your Merch Sucks” series and his “Whatever Happened to” series of videos. Videos of the Whatever Happened to series have racked up millions of views.
Wavywebsurf’s first big hit on youtube was with a video titled “The Evolutionary History of Memes”. My video is loosely based on the format of this classic wavywebsurf video.
