Wildlife Conservation Society (WCS) discussion at COP26 8 November 2021.

'Collective action - collective responsibility: how targeted investments at the forest and farm frontier offer a key pathway to supporting farmers, protecting forests and biodiversity'

Prioritising investments and attention towards the productive frontiers of the world's intact forests is the most cost effective and impactful strategy to acheiev significant benefits for climate mitigation/adaptation and biodiversity protection, and offers the best pathway for avoiding future zoonotoc disease outbreaks.

Panellists include Cafédirect (Roxy Rocks-Engelman, Sustainability Manager), the Rainforest Alliance, the National Wildlife Federation, Flora and Fauna International, Nestle, and the Wildlife Conservation Society in exploring how companies, governments and NGOs can collaborate to create projects that benefit smallholder farmers, the environments, and the economy.
