How To Create Desktop Shortcuts On Linux.
On Linux when you install software from the package manager or software center, a shortcut to that app is automatically created in the start menu. However if you have installed the software application yourself either as an Appimage or Tar File this is not the case. You have to create the shortcut yourself.
