Windows is well known for it's screensavers but there are also screensavers for Linux. Here is how to install and run XScreensaver which is a program for Linux. I focus on the Mate and Gnome desktop but XScreensaver also works on KDE, Xfce, Gnome Flashback. It is also included in the LXDE and LXQT desktops.
