Internet Explorer cannot be uninstalled from a Windows computer the same way other programs can be. One other way to permanently remove Internet Explorer is to delete the file from your hard drive in programs. But this too is blocked. As the Internet Explorer file is owned by Trusted Installer and cannot be deleted. Unless you change the ownership of the file to your name. Your administrator or user account name on your computer.

Then you can delete most of the file contense and then use a tool called Unlocker to remove the rest of the Internet Explorer file. This will then remove Internet Explorer from your computer. I have done this and my laptop is working as good as before.Except that I no longer have the Internet Explorer browser.

And removing Internet Explorer does not effect other Internet Explorer based browsers such as Avant browser,Green browser and others as you are ONLY removing the browser,Internet Explorer.

This information applies only to Windows 7 computers. I do not know what would be the case with Windows Vista or Windows XP and older versions of Windows. As they may depend more on Internet Explorer than Windows 7 does.
