How I Make: A Banana Hanger
In this video I try something new. I've never really tried making a mortise by hand with a chisel and mallet. It was really challenging but rewarding as well. The wood I chose is Sapele. It turned out beautiful when finish was applied. As far as the design of the piece I tried to do something a little different. Most of the banana hooks I found on the internet all had a bent or curved stand and the ones that were not curved had a hard 90 degree holder at the top. I hope you enjoy this video as much as I enjoyed making it.
