This is a video on Australia Long-Billed Corella parrots. Eastern Long-Billed Corellas are growing in numbers in Western Australia. They are now considered pests in Australia. With their ability to remove eggs from nests and take over the nest hollows, Eastern Long-Billed Corellas are threatening our endemic Black Cockactoos' numbers.
The Eastern Long-Billeds look similar to our endemic Western Long-Bills. They both have blue-grey ring around the eyes, orange-red face and long sharp upper long bills. A distinctive difference is Eastern Long-Billeds have the orange-red ring on their neck, giving them a "cut throat" appearance whereas the Western Long-Billeds do not.
