Man of sorrows

All of us - we are like sheep
And we have all - gone astray
We have turned our backs on God
Believing we know best
Every one of us going our own way
And God - He so loved the world
That He gave - His only son
That whoever - believes in Him
Will not perish - but have eternal life
He is the way- He is the truth - & He is the life
Man of sorrows - well acquainted with grief
Despised and forsaken - cursed like a comm
Man of sorrows - By His wounds we R healed
I was a dead man walking - He brought me back to life
Looked upon with contempt
Oppressed but not defeated
For our mistakes - He took our place
Like a lamb led to the slaughter
He did not speak a word
And by His blood - He gave us grace
The consequences of our sin
Taken for us all by Him
That’s the glory - of God - revealed
And the Lord has laid it all on Him
All the weight of all our sin
And by his wounds - we are healed
