Learn how-to install a security camera using pre-made Siamese CCTV cables (coax + power). Pre-made CCTV cable have the BNC connectors pre-attached when they are manufactured. The other most popular cable option to install CCTV cameras is using a spool of RG59 Siamese cable. These come in 500 foot and 1000 foot spools.

When you use a spool of RG59 Siamese, you cut the cable to the exact length that you need and attached the BNC connectors to the ends of the coax cable yourself. If you are using a 12V DC camera and an individual power transformer, you also need to attach the pigtail power leads to the power portion of the cable.
