Path of Exile Latency/Lag Fix 2023
This mostly pertains to Routers/Modems in the NA region that have home hub wifi networks. Many of these Modems/routers suffer from a default setting that causes users on wifi networks to experience a consistent "hang", or "lag spike" as the modem seems to make a call to every other device on the network every 10 seconds to see if it's still connected.
This also affects a multitude of other games such as Chivalry 2, No Man's Sky, Project Zomboid, Minecraft, Warframe, almost any FPS or online game that requires a very consistent, non-sporadic connection. If you're experiencing this on a wifi network, simply login into your modem/router's access point in your browser and see if there are any, "Home Wifi Optimization" settings set to "On" by default. Turn this setting to "Off" and see if that improves gameplay/streaming etc.
