CPR 2816: The Empress to Franklin Park | Mini-Documentary 2024
Didn't expect to even make this. Saw 2816 again for the second time in 2 days. Decided to make a little mini-documentary on it. Laugh all you want, I already know I'm a goof :P
Following the merger of Canadian Pacific Railway and Kansas City Southern to form "CPKC" (Canadian Pacific Kansas City), CP's lone steam engine, 4-6-4 Hudson #2816 , nicknamed "The Empress", to run from Calgary, Alberta, Canada to Mexico City, Mexico as a celebration of the merger. This event was called "The Final Spike Steam Tour", and would travel all over the CPKC system.
