Canadian Pacific 2816: Highball Through Wisconsin 2024
Following the merger of Canadian Pacific Railway and Kansas City Southern to form "CPKC" (Canadian Pacific Kansas City), CP's lone steam engine, 4-6-4 Hudson #2816 , nicknamed "The Empress", to run from Calgary, Alberta, Canada to Mexico City, Mexico as a celebration of the merger. This event was called "The Final Spike Steam Tour", and would travel all over the CPKC system. Here we catch up with the 2816 in West Salem, Wisconsin and chase very hectically to Portage, Wisconsin. Her average speed on this trip was 50 MPH. Don't blink, 2816 is flying by!
