Nonverbal Bus Trip
Our son Rainier takes me on adventures from time to time. He's been diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder and is nonverbal. He has a lot of words but rarely uses sentences. He loves making movies and filming adventures. I love trips like these because I let him lead the way and in turn, I get a glimpse into his world and what he likes. It also gives us an opportunity to work on our communication skills. It doesn't always go well but overall I feel it helps him gain his independence and sense of the world.
