Harbor Freight Central Pneumatic Air Compressor Low Pressure Fix
Ever since I got this 17 gallon air compressor from harbor freight I have had issues with it when working with air tools, they just never seem to get enough air pressure. It was acting like there was some sort of restriction before the air got to the hose. So I checked it out and did some tinkering around with it and figured out what was causing the problem. Most air tools have a regulator built in or you can add an inline air regulator. The one that comes on these compressors is extremely restrictive even when you open it up all the way. It's not really a big deal to remove it. all you need is a couple of wrenches and some teflon tape. This has drove me crazxy since I got the central pnumatic compressor. It's so bad I almost returned the compressor. So if you happen to see one of these for sale really cheap go ahead and snag it as this is an easy fix that most people don't know about. The difference truely is night and day!
