"Magic Carpet" is both an elfcore lullaby and an anthem for teenage elf girls in love. It's the fourth video from Toadstool Shadow's "Folk Songs of the American Wood Elf" fairy tale psych-folk opera.
Now grown, Bunny returns to the visionary landscape of his youth. This time, though, he brings a video camera to record the strange sights and odd sounds he encounters. In fact, the visionary landscape looks a lot like our ordinary world. Except, as in "Magic Carpet," there are bands of musical elves hiding everywhere, playing music to re-enchant the world.
This tune is on Toadstool Shadow's just-released second album, "Folk Songs of the American Wood Elf," available for download everywhere. CDs and downloads are also available at our own personal Bandcamp: https://toadstoolshadow.bandcamp.com/....

Lyrics:
"Were thy hair yet a magic carpet,
Forthwith to fly wouldest you and I.
Above branches weighted down with leaves of pale green,
In search of sights by mortal eyes still left unseen.
We are two, this world is infinite in things to see and do.
If that magic carpet has a room next to you,
With a pillow to rest our heads when day is through
.
Magic carpet
Wake, dear, and know the world below,
Just they with wings rightly see such things.
Faded the worries gazed from heights climbed through belief,
Where golden birds through silver clouds fly without relief
.
Magic carpet
.
We are two, this world is infinite in things to see and do
.
Magic carpet, magic, magic carpet
."
