ABOUT THE ALBUM:
The first third of the album with tracks "The First Flame", "Darkness Within Ourselves", "Illusory Euphoria" is a mix of melodic death metal, post metal,
black metal and old school death metal.
The second third is where things get slightly heavier. Down tuned guitars and old school death metal riffs with black metal influences. In tracks "Fate of the Undead and Sun Seeker".
Following that is a small instrumental "Perished", which leads back to more melodic songs "Hourglass Sand" and Father of the Abyss"
Yes, as you might have guessed by the name of the band, name of the album and songs, the lyrics are about and/or are influenced by the Dark Souls video game series.
