Alfacar bread, 12 years later in "Eat It"
On May 21, 2010, Canal Sur premiered "Cómetelo," a new cooking show hosted by Enrique Sánchez. The first episode featured bread from Alfacar, and twelve years later, the program returns to this town in Granada.
Alfacar bread has the PGI (Protected Geographical Indication) seal, which guarantees and identifies Alfacar's bread-making tradition. It is made with wheat flour, sourdough, yeast, salt, and water from the Alfacar spring and is sold in various shapes and sizes (roll, ring-shaped loaf, and large loaf).
