My dear brothers and sisters: Today I am sharing with you another story that has affected me most. Frankly, every time I read the story of Prophet Jonah, I am reminded that humans can make mistakes, but with sincere repentance they can regain God's mercy. That's why this story has always been very special to me. In this video, we will watch together the struggle of Prophet Jonah to preach to the people of Nineveh, his departure from his people, the difficult trial he experienced in the belly of the fish, and the divine mercy that followed.
In the preparation phase, we tried to utilize verses from the Surahs of An-Nisa, An-An'am, Yunus, As-Saffat, An-Anbiya, and Al-Qalam in the Holy Quran. Especially the sincere prayer in the belly of the fish and the events that followed, in my opinion, contain very great lessons from which we can all find something of ourselves. Patience, repentance, submission, and God's infinite mercy are evident in every line of this story.
