Mechatronics Students' Successful Project

This video showcases two Year 3 students from Temasek Poly's Diploma in Mechatronics program. They participated in a technical skills competition and worked on their final year project with DFAMC. Over almost a year, they underwent rigorous training in Siemens NX, 2D and 3D modeling, Generative Design, and Reverse Engineering using 3D scanning and Geomagic Design X. They gained expertise in Polymer and Metal 3D printing technology, both in pre-processing and post-processing.

In the video, they took on the challenge of designing and creating an autonomous Ping Pong ball picking robot. Throughout the project, they applied the knowledge they acquired in the Diploma in Mechatronics program, including programming with Python, integrating sensors, circuitry design, and PCB Controllers to develop the autonomous robot. Their advanced technical skills acquired through DFAMC equipped them with the confidence and professionalism to successfully complete the project, meeting all objectives.

If you're interested in designing and fabricating 3D printed parts with autonomous movement, incorporating Generative Design, and engaging in Reverse Engineering, please visit the TP DFAMC website for more information.
