This is a 3rd year subject offer by Diploma in Mechatronics, Advanced CAD and Simulation.
Students get to learn about Advanced CAD features and techniques to create complex 3D models. Finite Element Analysis such as modal analysis on vibration, static stress and displacement analysis, and application of boundary condition are being covered as well. The most enjoyable topics among the students are using Animation to create exploded assembly and apply Mechanism to simulate mechanical component motion and kinematic. The subject wrap up with a final project which you have seen in this video, to curate a sequence of manufacturing scenarios which includes the 3D printer printing the car Rim, assembly of the car tyres and assemble the rim set onto the car.
