We had a blast with our teacher/educator's course in July! This course is a scholarship opportunity for teachers and educators to come to Bimini for a week and learn from experts in the field of shark science and experience the amazing marine life around the island. It is meant for middle school/high school/university level formal or informal teachers/educators from underrepresented communities whose students may otherwise have no proximity or connection to the ocean. The course is led by Dr. Dean Grubbs from Florida State University Coastal and Marine Lab and Shark Lab President Matt Smukall.
Thank you so much to the support of Save Our Seas Foundation for helping make this week possible.
Filmed and edited by Baylie Fadool.
