maybe you’ve heard of being primlocked, or being stuck with primitive weapons; that’s how i met Ryedawg in fact. but did you know that even if you have higher tier weapons and kits, you can still be baselocked? well, there are many ways to get your revenge on the Rust island. most players farm sulfur and raid their enemies. today Bobby Lunn and his crew of seasoned Rust veterans with a combined -10k RP points between them debut a movie-length motion picture about the most peculiar form of revenge: the 10 hour baselock.
baselocking can be thought of as an extreme form of doorcamping. it’s what @pykz0 in his Compound Bow Tutorial video describes as Type 2 Grubbing, or grubbing by choice and not out of necessity for loot. it starts with a ring of respawn points around your target, and a grief TC to bait a raid. it ends 10 hours later when you’re giving away your target’s loot in the outpost monument.
a sincere thank you to anyone who chooses to take the journey of watching this movie in its entirety, i hope you take with you a lesson shared from the most dysfunctional team in Rust. having edited and watched this a few times, i’m not really sure what that lesson would be. if you find one make sure you leave it down in the comments below and smash that thumby uppy!

The only aim in Rust is to survive. To do this you will need to overcome struggles such as hunger, thirst and cold. Build a fire. Build a shelter. Kill animals for meat. Protect yourself from other players, and kill them for meat. Create alliances with other players and form a town. Do whatever it takes to survive.
