The third part of the Islands CAL is now up! whooop whooop! The patterns in this blanket are inspired by the filet crochet heritage here in my native Iceland. This is the third part of 7 videos I'll be posting daily through the next week. In today's video I show you how to make the Simple wavebreaker and Mountains patterns, which really are the best bits!
In this video I also show you my Volcano Islands blanket, which is a multicolored version of the Islands CAL pattern where I only use this here pattern plus the reverse Mountain pattern that i'll show you in part 5.
You only need a small ammount of yarn for each pattern, so this version is ideal for using stash and scraps! I've just uploaded an extra file to the Islands CAL pattern over on Ravelry, where I give you all the instructions (chain up, pattern arrangement, size etc) plus a colorway guide, so you can make something similar with the colors you have in your stash! I'm really looking forward to seeing some Volcano Islands blanket versions pop up now too! such fun. such fun.
the Islands CAL pattern is available in my Ravelry shop and is 25% off for the duration of the CAL. That is until midnight , September 10th (GMT time zone). Do check out the pattern to see more info, pics and yarn stats over on Ravelry:

please note that it's no stress at all to keep up with me or anyone else during the CAL, we all just start at the same time and then everyone crochets along on their own speed.
If you want to support my channel, you can do so by becoming a member, paying a small monthly fee to help me out, more info via the link below.
