Retrieving Data from AVEVA Insight for Third Party Applications
We've talked lots about how AVEVA Insight can help free trapped, siloed data on plant floors in our previous Tech Byte episodes. In this episode, Rainer D'Souza from our System Architects & CSM Team goes over how to query data from AVEVA Insight through RESTful transactions, a standard that allows for two digital systems to exchange information easily and securely over the internet. REST is a standard used by a vast amount of applications for integrating to other systems, making this the ideal method for providing data to third-party applications.
This provides many benefits by allowing access to historical data, alerts and analytics models in AVEVA Insight for other applications, such as BI tools or other specialist, web-based applications.
