The 1.5-liter turbocharged gasoline four-cylinder is mounted transversely and drives the front wheels. All-wheel drive is available in the top-end versions via a clutch. It can be locked. There's no transfer case or low range. Overall, power and torque are adequate, but a diesel or hybrid version would be nice. And an extra fifty horsepower to the standard 163 would be very welcome.
