How to Diagnose Throttle Position Sensor Failure (TPS) - Jeep XJ Cherokee
My 1993 Jeep Cherokee XJ has been having an idle problem since i changed out the plugs, wires, replaced the throttle body to intake gasket, used B12 Chem treatment to clean the intake and throttle body and then finally the idle air control valve. By what its doing I concluded that its the Throttle Position Sensor and later confirmed it when I replaced it. Also it never through any codes so the Check Engine light never came on.
