1999 F250 Super Duty 7.3 Diesel - Idle & Stalling Problems
Along a certain stretch of road near my house this always occurs. I can tell you exactly when and where it starts and will stop. I decided to pull off the road to see if it was just a coincidence that this was occurring, low and behold it was not. The truck wouldn't even stay running. If I continue on a tenth of a mile down the road this problem completely stops. I can not pin point it, I've done tons of maintenance on the truck, and it keeps happening like clock work every time I'm on this road. The problem only occurs whenever I'm light on the accelerator of just coasting. If I'm steady on the gas it generally doesn't show systems (though it will hiccup once or twice and belch out black smoke and then be completely fine)
What I've done as far as the engine and mechanical parts are concerned:
1.CPS
2.Injector O-Rings
3.HPOP reseal, new hoses and quick release fittings
4.checked Injector harnesses
5.repaired Alternator wiring
6.Checked batteries and Voltage
7.Turbo couplers
8.Fuel Filter, fuel filter check valve delete
9.Fuel Bowl drain valve
10.TS 6 Position Performance Chip (didn't change the problem, still occurs the same way it always has)
The truck doesn't blow smoke whenever it does this (occasionally black smoke whenever it tries to stall out and then catches itself as I'm keeping my foot on the throttle). What else should Id be looking to do on it? I'm thinking the Fuel Pressure Regulator (I'll probably get an adjustable one)
