The song Aruarian Dance is played in the 2004 anime Samurai Champloo. The series was directed by Shinichiro Watanabe, the same director of Cowboy Bebop.
Nujabes (Jun Seba) was an important Japanese musician and DJ who unfortunately passed away in 2010.
The song Aruarian Dance is a remix of the recording of the song The Lamp is Low, by Laurindo Almeida. This song, The Lamp is Low, uses fragments of the song Pavane for a Dead Princess, by Maurice Ravel.
