Libertarianism and Black Communities
"I believe there's a serious messaging gap between libertarianism and Black communities," Zuri Davis tells us. "If anyone knows the horrors of big government, it's us. I hope that by sharing at least one of our stories, viewers will be inspired to do more Black outreach."
In this video—the 4th Place winner in Feminists for Liberty's 2021 Video Contest—Davis shares the story of Jefferson Street, a historically black neighborhood in North Nashville.
Davis is a criminal justice reform activist and former journalist. She is currently the executive producer on "The Expungement Experiment," a documentary following the lives of formerly incarcerated Milwaukeeans as they navigate the complicated road to expungement, and a communications strategist with the ACLU of Florida.
