Whale Nerds Whale Watching: April 22, 2023
Spent a fun weekend up in Monterey! This is the first of three trips I went on - this in particular being a gathering of whale enthusiasts during 'Orca season'. We didn't see the Orcas this time around (who knows they could have been out there in the fog somewhere) but we did get a really fun Humpback who breached over and over.
Changing things up a little in these videos now where I'll overlay what animal is on screen the first time it appears instead of listing them in the description here. I've also added help lines towards the end of the video for anyone who may hang out on the coast and could need information to report distressed animals so they can be rescued. The NOAA number applies to the entire west coast but the second set of numbers apply to the set areas listed with them so keep that in mind.
