Here's a quick flight with my single stick modded T-Six and a silly little Blade 180QX HD I was given. I'm still new to multirotors, and I'm obviously no pro, but you should see how horribly I flew with the included Blade transmitter. ;-P
I'd recommend trying a single stick transmitter to anyone getting into multirotors, it really is MUCH more intuitive, and easier.
