Professor Klaus Eulenberger had already predicted a packed house at the event in April. Jörg Gräser, known from the MDR zoo documentary "Elephant, Tiger and Co.," was scheduled to speak on June 14th as part of the traditional lecture series organized by the Limbach-Oberfrohna Zoo Support Association. Those who hadn't reserved a ticket in advance were out of luck at the door, as the event was completely sold out. The zookeeper from Leipzig Zoo was no stranger to speaking for the Zoo Support Association. He enjoys visiting Limbach-Oberfrohna with the Amerika-Tierpark (America Zoo). On his next visit, he'll have even more new things to discover. The Amerika-Tierpark is currently developing an Inca Land exhibit. If you don't use European standards, then Jörg Gräser was quite close to the actual Inca land – in the land of the jaguar: Brazil. He shared his experiences with the many interested listeners on June 14th. They learned a great deal about the country and its people – and, of course, about the fascinating wildlife. Jörg Gräser shared his expertise on the best way to catch piranhas, which are said to be delicious, along with other stories from the rainforest. He also had much to say about the flora, noting that Brazil is a veritable herb garden. Like all speakers from the zoo's support association, Jörg Gräser gave his presentation free of charge. The entrance fees benefit the America Zoo. The support association invites everyone to its next lecture in October.
