Nerf Mod - K26 Sentinel Brass Breech
Embracing my inner nerd! I debated whether or not to post this video to this channel and ultimately I figure if you follow us for Parkour vids, just ignore this one.
For the rest of you, I actually modded a blaster for the first time! I love the Sentinel. Sure, it has a low rate of fire, but the power I've been able to get out of it feels awesome!
The original inspiration for this came from @Make.Test.Battle and their Sentinel video: • [Nerf Build Log] Brass Breech Mod Buzzbee ... . However, they never really explained what springs they used or what the dimensions were for their brass breech.
The breech in this video is using a dart pusher attached the to plunger tube which consists of:
1/2" - cut with tube cutters to round the edge
17/32" sleeved over
9/16" around the base at the plunger tube
The barrel is just 9/16".
As I mentioned, the spring is a K26 and I cut it down to 8". Even though it never gets anywhere close to full compression, it still packs a punch and I was getting an average of 121 FPS.
Thanks to the tightening rings, probably 1 in 50 darts jams during a war.
