Courtesy of the National Weather Service in Columbia, SC, this is a time lapse video of Undulatus Asperatus Clouds moving over the local airport. The WMO (World Meteorological Organization) has not yet confirmed whether the new cloud will be officially added and a team has recommended it be included.
AccuWeather.com Meteorologist Jesse Ferrell says asperatus clouds form on the outside of precipitation areas, where the rain attempts to invade dry air.
