Some additional comments:
— Most specialty restaurants, buffets, and main dining rooms offer complimentary service. If you don't want to pay extra, avoid the spas. Yoga, dance, or Pilates classes onboard cost around $10.
— Making friends with a member of the crew can make your trip much more enjoyable.
— Adults-only areas are much quieter and more peaceful than other public areas on the cruise ship. If you can't find one, ask the crew.
— People gain 2.5-5 extra pounds over a week-long cruise. But, of course, it all depends on how much exercise they do during the cruise and how many alcoholic cocktails they drink each day.
