This was a playthrough I did quite some time ago, when I needed some footage from various different Street Fighter games for a Street Fighter compilation video I was making. I didn't upload this complete playthrough at the time because back then I was limited to YouTube videos of 15 mins. I'm not any more, so I thought what the heck, why not upload it. This is the PAL version of SFA 2 being played on SSF Sega Saturn emulator (i did own the proper version of the game for my Saturn back in the day, but I sold it many years ago). Being the PAL version it has fugly black bars that run across the top and bottom of the screen, so I've panned and zoomed into the play area to crop these bars out, which is why the game is in a sort of, but not quite fully, 16:9 display (The game normally plays in 4:3).
Now, the thing is I should probably explain, I'm getting close to 40 years old now and my Street Fighting skills are a bit (well a lot) rusty, hence why I've chosen the most ridiculously overpowered character in the game. I love Shin Akuma cheapness! This was played on the game's default difficulty level.
I think SFA 2 (particularly the Saturn version) is one of my favourite Street Fighter games ever. The controls especially seem very nice and responsive and puling off special moves and supers feels very intuitive. in comparison, I'd played a bit of Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo HD on the PS3 before I recorded this SFA 2 video and that seems to have remarkably nerfed up controls and I struggled to pull of even really basic special moves never mind supers (and the CPU AI are supremely cunty in that version of the game).
