How to create a Spanned Volume using Windows
A spanned disk is a new logical disk that joins free storage blocks located in physical disks. Using a spanned disk the small storage blocks become effective storage blocks.
To create a spanned disk, first you need to convert the physical disks to dynamic volumes. Dynamic volumes are also required if you want to create mirrored and RAID-5 volumes.
This video applies to Windows version 7, 8 and 10. It also applies to Windows Server 2003 and later.
