MCM Comic Con London 2023
Join me as I go to MCM Comic Con London 2023! This is my first ever convention in the UK and what a convention it was! I spent most of my time at the Whovian Nirvana that is the Forbiddden Planet Booth where they had a TARDIS that you could take photos in front of plus they had the 14th and 15th Doctor’s outfits on display along with the 14th Doctor’s Sonic Screwdriver!
It was there I got to meet up with friends old and new including: Jay Binstead, Anthony Garnon, Adam Mamoun (@adammamoun_97 on Instagram), Lewis, Stan (@StanTheSlitheen on Youtube), Luka (who spotted me in a crowd!), and Una McCormack (https://unamccormack.co.uk/) and what a lovely time it was meeting such wonderful and talented fellow Doctor Who fans! Thank you all for sharing this experience with me!
There was more purchasable Doctor Who merchandise at the Forbidden Planet Booth than Jelly Babies in the Fourth Doctor’s pocket! More than I ever expected! Plus some of it was there in advance of the official release! For instance, the Whotopia book that I then got signed by one of the authors, Una McCormack! I would have stayed at the convention till the very end, but I had to catch my train and make my way back to Manchester where I met up with Alex Goddard (@alexgoddard5778 on YouTube).
We went to SteakOut 212 for burgers and as a small token of my gratitude for all his help and support, I gave him an advance release of The Fourth Doctor Anthology Graphic Novel! After spotting a wild fox and some revelers we parted ways and I got some rest in preparation for the following day’s adventure!
